The DIEFI2 consortium gathered in Kayseri-Türkiye, for a Plenary Meeting hosted at the Meysu facilities. The meeting combined in-person and remote participation, creating an effective hybrid environment for strategic alignment and technical collaboration.
The consortium was welcomed with a level of hospitality, reinforcing the strong partnership and collaborative spirit that underpin DIEFI2. The on-site setting provided valuable insights into real industrial environments and operational constraints.
The main focus of the meeting was the ongoing research on advanced sensor systems for real-time data acquisition in food production. Partners discussed sensor deployment strategies, communication protocols, and data synchronization across heterogeneous industrial infrastructures.
Several technical adversities inherent to industrial digitalization were openly addressed, including:
- Ensuring secure and reliable communication between distributed sensor networks
- Maintaining data integrity and consistency across multiple system layers
- Balancing real-time performance with system scalability and interoperability
In parallel, partners reviewed progress on adaptive Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), designed to transform complex sensor data into clear and actionable insights for operators on the shop floor.
The visit to Meysu’s industrial facilities proved instrumental in aligning the project’s technical roadmap with real-world production scenarios, strengthening the consortium’s shared vision and preparing the ground for upcoming pilot implementations.
